Spotlight On: Mike Kachmar

Mike Kachmar started in the moving business 32 year ago, as a helper. However, that was not a satisfying option for Mike so he decided to pursue his class A license and became a driver. It was a common expectation for Mike and his crew to complete multiple shipments in one day. An impressive feat even for the experienced mover.

After establishing himself as a proficient driver, Mike progressed to the position of warehouse manager at our Orange County storage facility, where he gained invaluable knowledge about the residential storage and commercial warehousing side of the moving industry.

Mike’s consolidation of multiple facets of the moving industry have allowed him to excel in his current position as the Operations Manager of Alex Moving & Storage. This position comes with new challenges that requires a mastery of the IT field.

As always Mike has surpassed the expectations of his role and it is for this reason that Mike is the go to guy when we are having technical Issues. Mike still holds his CDL, he is a certified Forklift operator, CPR certified, and holds outstanding BIT inspections from CHP.

When Mike is not hard at work he is an excellent husband to his wife Jenna as well as an excellent father and grandfather to his three children and 3 grandchildren. In his 32-year career Mike has established himself as an industry expert and major player as an Orange County mover – and a valuable member of the Alex Moving & Storage team.

Mike has, in these 32 years, been an essential resource – a fixture you can count on the get the answers to so many aspects of the moving business. It would not be Alex Moving & Storage without Mike.
